Caste of the City Bee is a record that was made in an attempt to slow the sometimes unbearable operating speed of living and working in one of the most populous cities in the world.

The sounds in the four pieces were directly inspired by things in my daily routine, reinterpreted at a slower pace, creating an alternate city, one in which detail and focus are given to things that normally pass unnoticed.

The pieces contain a mixture of instruments, field recordings, and found sounds, some heavily manipulated, some left just as they were recorded.

My intention was to arrange pieces that, at times, created juxtapositions of beauty and ugliness, and that seemed to leave a physical void when they reached completion.
